GROUP NAME: Hawaiarrak

In 2.500 B.C the Greeks carved wooden scarecrows to appearance like Priapus. Priapus was a Greek saint. They used to  scare birds  and have save their vegetables. They painted  their scarecrows with purple.

The Romans copied the Greeks scarecrows. When the Roman armies go to Europe, they introduced the scarecrows in Europe.

With the Greeks and with the Romans, the Japanese farmers start doing scarecrows. They called Kakashis. They used the  Kakasihis to have save their rice fields. The  kakashis apparance was  like people. They dressed the kakashis with a raincoat, with a round straw hat, with  bows and  with arrows to look more threatening.
